Character Questions
okay, so hello again guru! im just starting up again after a while, and looking to make yet another new main. Heres the catch, i dont know what to make . Im really willing to play anything except for necros, cause im kinda bored with those... Im looking to do some titlework, HM, lots of high end PvE and lots of SC's. like i said, im just looking for anything to play. something that will get accepted into PvE groups, and SC's. if i could maybe get some feedback as to what proffesion, and possibly a reason why, it would be greatly appreciated! thanks alot everyone

Make a Rit, they are used on almost all end game contend, and are one of the best solo farming classes in the game. rits can make HM seem like normal mode. My rit is my 3rd main char (after getting many titles on my ele and my monk) and it has been by far the easiest character to get titles with and make money with.

For SCs go sin. You can do sinways, uwsc, fowsc, doasc and whatnot.

Rits, eles or monks would be my best bet as to the msot reliable class in terms of desire, although monks are going out of fashion as ER Prots are coming in. |

If you are a new player please don't go sin for SCs. The whole SC group suffers if the tank is bad. Rits with DwG or SoS are the most idiot-proof position in a speed clear and great for getting to know the high-end areas imo.
ER-Bonder isn't any harder but you have more responsibility. Monks are also a good choice if you like healing and if the SC group is good, they have nearly nothing to do. And monks have something ER bonder/infuse don't have: Seed of Life. |

Go to PvX Wiki.
Look at the Meta Team Builds. Make one of those that you like the look of playing. Get Team ????????? Profit. |

okay, so i looked that up. do you think it would be worth it to make a mesmer possibly? ive always found them intriguing, but i never really messed with them alot. Ive got a rit, and i found SoS boring, but lots of people reccomend it, and i dont really care for my sin, but lots of people are telling me that as well. so any advice on maybe those 3?

If you like to tank, as in sit still and don't attack while you hold the aggro of the mobs, then that's the Assassin in high end PvE.
Rits are quite useful and they have a lot more variety than just SoS, maybe look up some of their alternative builds. Mesmers were the latest class to receive a buff although they were still popular in some PUGs before that. I haven't done any of this kind of PvE stuff myself, but from what I hear this is the best chance of getting a group for the high end PvE areas. Anything else you'll be ok for too. |
